Communicating our research to patients and members of the public is central to the aims of the BTRU and with that in mind we decided to run a video competition and ask BTRU trainees and students to create a short video about their research aimed at a non-science audience. Four of our research themes took on the challenge and members of our Patient and Public Research Panel kindly agreed to judge the entries.
Each video was scored on how well the research was communicated and explained, on how much knowledge was gained and also on interest and audiovisual quality. We received some great feedback on all the videos and are delighted to announce that the winning entry is from Research Theme 4. Congratulations to Professor Mike Nicholson, Sarah Hosgood, Tom Adams and all the team and many thanks to everyone who took part in creating and judging the entries.
