Training is a fundamental aspect of the BTRU’s mission. We want to help our young doctors and scientists to develop into the future researchers in transplantation. Our approach is to be broadly inclusive of all fellows (clinical and non-clinical), those in their academic foundation year, PhD students, post-docs and clinical lecturers either funded directly by the BTRU or working for principal investigators within the BTRU.
BTRU trainees are encouraged to attend a range of events held throughout the year, providing opportunities to present their work, celebrate their achievements and network with colleagues and friends working within the BTRU or in allied centres of research. We also actively encourage the trainees to take part in events for patients and the public to ensure their work is informed by, and developed with input from, our patient and public representatives.
